Here is an example of some rough logo designs I did for a friend of mine who is starting her own mobile waxing business named "Wax-Away". The logo needed to be fresh, contemporary and eye-catching. I love using block colours with black and white at the moment and If you knew my friend... you would understand why pink was the prime colour choice to run along-side! She chose the bottom left design. The mix of typography look great together and I think this was the best option as it suits her business, along with her personality, down to a T. Add Comment Absolutely love this! Very inspiring piece of self promotional info-graphics from graduating graphic design student, Arran Bullock. Love this poster - its very simple but with the use of screen printing and a beautiful paper stock, its captured the 'vintage' feel very well! The brief was to design a series of 3 typography posters advertising Ministry of Sounds famous 'Saturday Sessions' nights. Each image was originally hand-drawn onto AO paper then scaled down on the computer and applied to clear plastic acetate. My aim was to make them so unique, interesting and eye-catching that people would just want to read them and find out more! The Brief: "It always rains in your country. Make a poster for visitors to the UK explaining why so much rain is attractive. Don't be sarcastic. After all, rain can be romantic, useful or beautiful." Alot of my classmates did well in this competition! Here follows some of my favourites from the shortlist :) Emma Benyon, Bolton This submission was submitted in print and the poster contains a braille message punched into the image creating the impression of rain through the clouds. Classmate, Stuart Mitchell, University Of Central Lancashire - Well done Stu! Steven Williams, University of Leeds Man overheard on a bus one rainy morning in Manchester. Two of my fellow classmates, Rachael Griffiths & Laura Gasgarth, University of Central Lancashire - Well Done! :) Danielle Smith, University of Lincoln Nick Yates, Manchester School of Art Samantha Wilkinson, University of Central Lancashire - Well done Sam :) As you can see...Uclan Stole the show!
